Message from the New EiC
Message of the New Editor-in-Chief (EiC): Prabandhan: Indian Journal of Management
Dear Readers, Contributors, and Friends,
It is with immense gratitude and a deep commitment to excellence that I step into the role of Editor-in-Chief of Prabandhan: Indian Journal of Management. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the leadership of Associated Management Consultants Private Limited for entrusting me with this responsibility. Having been associated with the journal as a member of the Editorial Board for a significant period, I have witnessed its evolution as a platform for rigorous academic research and impactful management insights. This journal is among the select few management journals from India indexed in Scopus, serving as a vital bridge between scholars and policymakers while fostering meaningful research.
Now, as I take on this new role, my vision is to elevate Prabandhan: Indian Journal of Management to even greater heights. Our foremost goal is to enhance the journal's ranking in Scopus, progressing from its current standing toward achieving Q1 status. Additionally, we aim to secure higher recognition in the ABDC Journal Quality List and expand the journal’s reach and readership globally. These milestones are not merely aspirations but essential steps toward establishing Prabandhan: Indian Journal of Management as a premier destination for high-quality research in the field of management. To realize these objectives and recognize the dynamic nature of academic discourse, we are planning to introduce a round-the-year submission window. This initiative is designed to minimize publication delays and ensure that significant contributions are promptly reviewed and shared with our readership. To further streamline the process, we will provide timely reviews and offer an “Online First” feature, complete with Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) to disseminate accepted papers at the earliest.
Our focus on advancing impactful research welcomes contributions based on robust primary data, insightful secondary data analysis, and comprehensive literature reviews. By embracing diverse methodologies and innovative approaches, we strive to position the journal as a trusted platform for cutting-edge academic dialogue. As part of our mission, we are working to enhance the journal's readership by actively engaging with academia, industry leaders, and policymakers. To support this vision, we are also currently revising and updating the Editorial Board to align with our strategic goals. We warmly invite self-nominations from distinguished scholars and professionals who share our dedication to advancing high-quality research and impactful dialogue. By fostering strategic outreach, cultivating collaborations, and enriching the editorial team, we aim to amplify the journal’s influence and ensure that the ideas we present inspire a diverse global audience.
This journey, however, is not mine alone—it is ours! The collective wisdom and commitment of our editorial team, contributors, and readers form the foundation of Prabandhan’s success. I encourage all stakeholders to continue their invaluable support by contributing quality papers, offering constructive feedback, and championing the journal’s mission. Together, let us position Prabandhan: Indian Journal of Management as a leading voice in management research, fostering knowledge creation that benefits academia, industry, and society alike.
Finally, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Satya Gilani, the former Editor-in-Chief, for her exemplary leadership and invaluable contributions to the journal. Her vision, dedication, and innovative approach have significantly elevated the journal’s reputation. Her legacy has paved the way for continued success, and I am deeply thankful for the strong foundation she has built. My sincere appreciation also goes to Mr. Deepak Sawhney, Director and Head of Operations of Associated Management Consultants Private Limited, New Delhi, for the trust and confidence he has placed in me by appointing me as the Editor-in-Chief of Prabandhan: Indian Journal of Management. It is both an honor and a privilege to take on this responsibility. I would also like to acknowledge Ms. Priyanka Gilani, Managing Editor, whose tireless efforts and keen eye for detail have been instrumental in advancing the journal’s prominence. Her commitment to excellence has significantly enhanced the journal's quality and impact. I look forward to working closely with her and the team as we strive to take the journal to new heights.
